Laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS)
2023/06/14

Model: MobiLIBS

Basic parameters

Sample size: 20 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm

Sample preparation: not required

Testing scope: 200 – 900 nm

Laser frequency: 20 Hz

Purpose

LIBS is a new technique to analyse element components. It uses short-pulse lasers that eject a tiny amount of the sample specimen from the material to be tested into a plasma for spectral analysis. It provides qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis of components and can better detect lightweight elements with lower atomic weights (<Na) without sample preparation, in addition to in situ analysis of solid samples.
