The Chinese deities of Fortune, Wealth, and Longevity are incised on this ruyi scepter along with the Daoist Eight Immortals. With incised motifs on head, handle and end respectively, the form of the scepter imitates the one with three diamonds inlays. Each part is also decorated with Eight Immortals. The ruyi scepter with this design was traditionally presented on the occasion of imperial birthdays.
