    The history of Chinese paintings of horse and figurine over 1000 years is concentrated in the exhibition on the net, which reflects the feeling and love of the mankind for the nature and life. Mankind, power of the society; horse, power of nature, therefore the paintings reflecting the connection between mankind and horse show the perfect harmony between the society and the nature.
    Because saddle and horse are often connected with arms, horses are entrusted with moral and aesthetic value. The horse paintings, not only reflect the spirit of an era but also show the aesthetic thought, this is culture. The 49 paintings on show in this exhibition are chosen carefully from the large collection of the horse paintings in the Palace Museum, to tell the story of horse paintings from Eastern Jin to 20th century. Enjoying these paintings, you will find different extraordinary splendors: free and vigorous in Jin, stout and strong in Tang, refined and elegant in Song, dignified and proud in Yuan, solemn and severe in Ming, real and true in Qing. In this exhibition, we can enjoy, feel and taste as much as possible surmounting the time and space obstacles of 1000 years, in the art world on the horseback.
